In loving memory of

Kathleen Ann Nelson
July 3, 1952 - March 28, 2015

Kathleen Ann Nelson was born in Kermit Texas on July 3rd, 1952. She was one of four children born to Helen Quatrini and Lester Rash. Kathy's family moved to Orange County California where she grew up. As a young adult she moved to the Snoqualmie Valley in Washington State where she resided the remainder of her life.
Kathy was very artistic and everything she put her flair on turned to gold. Whether it was a gourmet meal, home decorating or one of her many craft projects, she impressed everyone. Kathy was an animal lover and rescued countless pets giving them a loving home. However Kathy's most notable attribute was her giving nature. She was generous beyond imagination and gave without hesitation to her many friends and family members. Her greatest joy was becoming a grandmother to Vivian on December 12th, 2014.
Kathy passed away on March 28th, 2015 at her home surrounded by the love of her family, friends and pets. She is survived by her husband Peter Nelson, her son Jesse Ravenscroft and his wife Rachele, her granddaughter Vivian Ravenscroft, her brothers Ronald, Micheal and Greg Rash, many nieces and nephews and countless friends. She will be in our hearts forever.

"Momma, I miss you so much. Everything's changed since you've left us. Vivian is doing so well at everything. She's in 2nd grade at Carnation, just like your boy. She's getting straight A's. She's hilarious, smart, kind, empathetic and I really wish you could stick your tongues out at each other like you did when she was not even 3 months old. We love you very much."

"I met Kathy and Peter near Carnation, WA, prior to their wedding. They have been very dear friends since. My prayers for Peter and for the rest of the family for strength and comfort in the times to come. Having known Kathy has enriched my life in ways that can not be counted."

"When I met Kathy thru Vinny she was pregnant with Jesse. One of the biggest moments of her life. I'd never had a friend quite like Kathy before. Besides having one of the biggest hearts, eyes that could see into your soul, the natural ability to cook fantastic food, she truly listened to people. We had so many good times together, laughing, dancing, taking chances, going to parties and having parties. Laying around with all the dogs, going to the river on hot days. The greatest wish of hers was to be a grandmother which God was kind enough to grant. Peter was the love of her life as was Jesse Paul and now little Vivian. I will never forget her smile and her eyes. Then there were all of the perms we gave each, the catered concerts we went to and all the endless laughing. I know we'll see each other again. I can see her now. My heart goes out to Peter, JP, Vivian and her entire family which included so many loving friends. Thank you for taking such good care of Kathy. See you May 23rd. I'm looking forward to re-meeting all of Kathy's friends and being grateful having her as my friend."
