Rose Schnaare
August 19, 1922 - April 20, 2015

Rose Schnaare, of Elcho, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at her home. She was 92 years old. She was born on August 19, 1922 in Kenosha, a daughter of Charles and Mary (Kranowski) Pechura. She married Gene Schnaare on May 1, 1948 at St. Mark Catholic Church, Kenosha. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2006.

She was a graduate of Mary D. Bradford High School in Kenosha. As a young lady she worked at Sears & Roebuck store as a sales clerk followed by employment at Warwick factories in Illinois. For many years she was a nurses aide at St. Catherine's Hospital in Kenosha retiring in 1987.

In 1989 she moved to Elcho where she volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center serving meals and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Rose enjoyed following the St.Louis Cardinals baseball team and Green Bay Packers football team. Her hobbies included fishing, reading, painting, gardening and cooking.

Survivors include two sons, Gene (Sandra) Schnaare Jr., Racine, Craig Schnaare and significant other Donna Hatfield, Elcho; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren with one more expected in May.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John Pechura; three sisters, Eleanor Wistrand, Nellie Reidinger, Sally Carrey.

A memorial service will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
