In loving memory of

Eleanor Frances Stubb
May 31, 1926 - May 7, 2015

Eleanor Stubb went home to our Lord and Savior, Jesus, and her beloved husband Gordon, on May 7, 2015. Born May 31st, 1926, she loved to tell everyone that she was "88 and feeling great!" Eleanor was a caring, devoted mother and grandmother. She was a charter member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church where she loved to sing in the choir and participated in Bible study every week.

Born to Austrian immigrants, Andrew and Amelia Hirsch, she grew up in Seattle, graduated from Lincoln High and then met the love of her life, Gordon. Soon after, they moved to Silver Lake. They had three children, Larry, Patty Engebretsen (Bruce) and John (Marlit), and four grandchildren, Mark, Lisa, Anneliesa, and Reagan. She also adored her older half-brother, Joe Hoffmann, and his family.

Eleanor and Gordon loved to travel to Lake Chelan, Palm Springs, Arizona, and Hawaii. They also towed their trailer to various campgrounds throughout the west to explore and visit with friends. They enjoyed having season tickets to UW football and basketball and loved traveling to watch the Huskies play in the Rose Bowl and other bowl games.

Eleanor was known for being a kind-hearted soul and an attentive listener. She had an amazing ability to connect with others and made friends, young and old, everywhere she went. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be held May 30th, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 9320 Meadow Way, Everett, WA 98208 . In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Prince of Peace Lutheran Choir.
