Stanley Wayne Bernard
February 21, 1932 - May 22, 2015

On May 22nd, 2015 Stanley Bernard met his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, face to face. He was born on February 21st, 1932 to his parents, Stanley & Dorothy Bernard. Stanley was preceded in death by both his parents and his wife's parents (Ellis & Mildred Carlson), his brother, Dean Bernard, sister in law, Susan Carlson and brother in laws Gerald Burkey & Tom Trenkle. Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Patricia (Carlson) Bernard and his four children: Terri (Bruce) Herman, Mark (Melinda) Bernard, Brad (Tonya) Bernard and Linda (Rick) Forehand. Stanley is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Kelli (Matt) Sato, Justin (Emily) Bernard, Tristan Herman, Lindsey (Chris) King, Jeffrey Bernard, Colby (Katie) Bernard, Chelsea (Les) Forehand, Aaron Bernard, Austin Bernard, Jessica Forehand, Jake Forehand and two great grandchildren: Lucas and Audrey Sato. Stan is also survived by his brother, Don (Gayle) Schoenfielder; sisters: Janet (Jim) Rowoldt and Sheila Trenkle, brother in law, Terry Carlson and many nieces and nephews.
Stan was born in Aurora, Illinois, graduated from East Aurora High School, attended Northwestern University and served four years in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Stanley married his sweetheart, Patricia Carlson, in August 1956 and they moved to the Seattle area in 1960 where he spent more than thirty years in sales. Stanley cherished time with his family and enjoyed many fishing trips and day trips throughout the beautiful Northwest. Stan lived in the same house in Bellevue for 54 years and truly enjoyed his wonderful neighbors, his long time friends and the supportive family of Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland. Stanley will be greatly missed.
