Lydia Mach
February 11, 1927 - June 4, 2015

Lydia Mach, of Antigo, died Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Rosalia Gardens under the care of LeRoyer Hospice. She was 88 years old. She was born on February 11, 1927 in Antigo, a daughter of the late Leon and Martha (Noskowiak) Samolinski. She married Clarence Mach on August 17, 1949 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2005.

She graduated from Antigo High School in 1945 and attended Antigo Normal School graduating in 1947.

Mrs. Mach taught at many area schools including, Fernwood. She retired from teaching to raise her family and help her husband on their potato farm.

She was a member of SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church, Rolling Homemaker's Club, Catholic Family Fraternity and SS Mary & Hyacinth Rosary Society.

She enjoyed quilting, crafting, playing cards and Bingo and spending winters in Texas.

Survivors include five sons, Larry (Nadene) Mach of Hartland, MI, Ken (Michele) Mach, Ron (Ann) Mach, Dennis (Sandra) Mach and Jim (Amy) Mach all of Antigo; three daughters, Nancy (Conrad) Schumitsch of Green Bay, Patsy (John) Mach-Holmes of Tomahawk and Kathy (Terry) Ciszewski of Pleasant Prairie; a brother, Douglas (Marge) Samolinski of Antigo; a sister, Delphia Rosio of Antigo; three sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Jim) Wild of Antigo, Josie Mach of Antigo and Marge Mach of Antigo; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at SS Mary & Hyacinth Catholic Church with Rev. David Schmidt officiating. Burial will take place in Queen of Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and 9 to 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the Bradley Funeral Home. A parish wake service will be held at 4:30 p.m. and the Rosary Society wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. both on Monday at the funeral home.

A memorial fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at Rosalia Gardens for the wonderful care they provided to Lydia.
