"We will always remember Janel as being around as our children were growing up and visiting Mattoon. All the kids in the station wagon going "to the dump", and she always loved her Uncle Pete's homemade potato chips. Her hard battle is over, and she can now rest in peace. God Bless and Love You. Sorry we cannot be there today, but you will ALL be our thoughts and prayers!"

"My Deepest Sympathy. I now have another Guardian Angel watching over me. It saddens me very deeply that I am unable to attend service. Most of all that I will not be able to see Her Smiling Face this fall (selfish me) God has bigger plans for My Nellie!"

"To the family of Janel, I would like to offer my condolences. I was Janel's "avon" lady for about 6 years until I retired. She was such a sweet lady, never complained even though many times I know she was hurting. I always looked forward to receiving her home-made holiday cards. They were beautiful. May she rest in peace."

"I wish to offer my sincere condolences to Janel's family. I'm so glad I got to meet Jane and Cindy. I'm very sorry I will be unable to attend the services for Janel, please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this time. I know Janel is in a much better place now she's in Gods hands. I will miss her dearly even tho she could be quite a handfull at times. She was a dear friend and neighbor of mine since 11/2008. I'm going to miss our grilling out together in the summers since 2009. My memories will be of all the fun ones we had together. Janel will also be missed by my three daughters Lacy, Kari and especially Nicole and her daughter, my grandaughter MaKiyah (2yrs. old) who called her "Grandma Janel". Janel would laugh everytime. May Janel rest in peace. "
