Ava Jaunzems wrote on Apr 9, 2016:

"Alexander and I were schoolmates through Junior and Senior High, and friends. In later years we crossed paths once in a while in New York City at venues like Carnegie Hall and the Rogers Auditorium at the MMA (he on stage and me in the audience). He was extraordinarily gifted and wickedly funny in his own inimitable way. Such a loss. "

Chris Millard wrote on Feb 12, 2016:

"How sad to come across this notice 7 months after his death. Alex and I were fellow bassoonists at Curtis and Marlboro [72 - 76] and played many, many times together as students. I hope his all too brief life was a happy one. "
