Bernice Schleinz
August 10, 1920 - July 16, 2015

Bernice Schleinz, a longtime Antigo resident died Thursday, July 16, 2015 at North Central Health Care in Wausau. She was 94 years old. She was born on August 11, 1920 in Phlox, a daughter of Charlie and Matilda (Bissonette) Waldvogel. She married Kenneth Schleinz on January 17, 1939 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Phlox. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2001.

As a homemaker most of her life, she enjoyed helping her husband with his work, raising their children and helping with the grandchildren.

Bernice was a member and longtime volunteer of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.

Survivors include three daughters, Gail Polzin, Appleton, Nita (John) Debbout, Weston, Lynn Euler, Antigo; three sons, Jack (Sally) Schleinz, Antigo, Michael Schleinz and significant other Shawn of Minnesota, Chuck (Jill) Schleinz, Neenah; a daughter-in-law, Lynna Lawrence, Madison; a son-in-law, James Zelazoski, Antigo; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; .

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter Mary Zelazoski; a son Carl Schleinz; a son-in-law, Gerald Polzin; four sisters Mary, Gustie, Annie, and Delores; five brothers, Henry, Clem, Peter, Joseph, and Tony Waldvogel.

A private funeral Mass was held at St. John Catholic Church.
Bradley Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
