"Mark was an outstanding human being & a wonderful Boy Scout leader. At St. Margaret Mary Parish in Naperville, IL, he was a mentor to my son Kyle. He helped a socially awkward, nerdy boy and helped him grow into the caring & giving young man he is today. Kyle became a ER nurse, is working on his Nurse Practioner certification, His PHD in Nursing & is very involved in scouting, both at camp & within the council. Thank you,Mark! Our thoughts & prayers are with his family & friends. "
"Mark was a valued and and dedicated Scouter. His service in multiple roles in Scouting had an impact on thousands of youth over his lifetime. His legacy will live on through those many lives he helped change for the better. I know that I will miss our many conversations we had, but especially those great conversations we would have at Ed Bryant Scout Reservation during various events. To Mark's family, on behalf of the Scouts and Scouters of the the Glacier's Edge Council, we thank you for sharing Mark with us. May the many wonderful memories you shared with him bring you peace.
