"One of my favorite memories is back in the '70's when Charlie Ronald's challenged Bob to a mile race. It became quite the event at the Player's club amongst the squash players. Bob trained real hard while Charlie was his usual boisterous self. So one afternoon we all met at the local high school track took sides and made our bets. Needless to say, Bob trounced Charlie and I took $20 from Greg Halder. The point is, the comradery we shared at that time is priceless and it still seems like it was just yesterday. "

"When the enemy death strikes your grief can be great. It's never the right time to say goodbye to a loved one. Death too to many seems to be a part of life. It's during times such as these that we can find comfort in the Lord's Prayer in Matthew 6:9, 10 ~ "Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth". Only God's (Psalms 83:18) Kingdom can bring peace, happiness, perfect health, and everlasting life. "

"It is with sadness that my mother and I write this message. Patients of Dr. Mack's since 1987, we can only echo what so many have written about him. He was pure class, an upmost professional, and a great soul. Dr. Mack performed skillful and beautiful work on my mother's mouth. However, I will never forget what he once said to me when I was checking in during my college years. He said, "You are my biggest nightmare of a client. There is nothing I need to do for your teeth." He always made us laugh! May God Bless his soul and our deepest sympathies to his family.

"I was a patient of Dr. Mack's for about 28 years and like many others, he gave me a smile that I was proud to show. In my younger years, I was constantly calling his office with another story of how I broke a veneer. Once I was playing softball at a company picnic and got hit in the mouth by the ball and my front tooth didn't survive the contact! For years after that, Dr. Mack would kid me about my short lived softball career! He was one of a kind and I will miss him. My sincere condolences to his family, friends and staff."

He taught me to always strive for excellence and would accept nothing less. Dr.Mack truly loved what he did and was extremely patient teaching me all about dentistry, he even drew me little tooth pictures to make sure I understood. I will always remember his great sense of humor and wonderful smile. I will miss him so much but he will be forever in my heart. "

"Bob and his family are in my prayers. I can't remember a time when Bob wasn't in my life. From before I was born, Bob was always a part of our family's Christmas Eve dinner--creating memories that I will never forget. Like the time the salad was so fresh that it contained a live cricket that jumped out Bob's bowl. He playfully teased my mom about that every year thereafter. Or when he and my dad built the kid's outdoor swing set inside the screened-in porch. I will always remember Bob for his sense of humor, his great taste in cars, wine, clothes, and especially shoes. Rest in peace Bob. We will miss you dearly and we will meet again one day. "

You will be in my heart forever.
I considered it an HONOR to work with you for 22 years.
It was not an easy challenge. We needed to give one hundred percent every day and it was worth it. I learned so much from you and loved your sense of humor. You would always tell me: "What a proper name you have!". (My name is MERCEDES). I will always miss you."

"When I started working for Dr Mack, I was a 25 year old ingénue. To say that he shaped me professionally would be a huge understatement. His passion, dedication and meticulousness were not only inspiring, but at times down right daunting. Whenever a smile was missing that certain je ne sais quoi or a tooth needed to fit into an inadequate amount of space, Dr. Mack would look at me and say "you can do it honey" then just walk away. It was the proverbial sink or swim approach to learning the tricks of the trade. Needless to say, I never drowned and our patients reaped the benefits of his unconventional sowing. I will be forever grateful for his mentoring and I will always, always miss him. Lucy"

He taught me so many things in the 29 years that I worked for him but the one thing that sticks with me the most is to take pride in your work and always do your best. He will never be forgotten because his smiles are everywhere. "

I worked for Dr. Mack back in the 70's, I was his office manager, chairside, sometimes lab assistant. The beliefs he had in me made me who I am today! We always bantered back and forth about finding someone to darn is socks when he got old! I am so Happy he found love and happiness. He had such a powerful presence but a generous heart. He hosted a baby shower for me 37 years ago and gave me a crib for my first daughter. I will treasure my memories of Bob."

Being part of Dr. Mack's dental family taught me the real meaning of perfection, to always strive for excellence, to believe in myself and the meaning of "Team Work". Dr. Mack was a motivator who loved thinking outside of the box and delivering life changing dental masterpieces to his patients.
I will miss his insatiable love for dentistry, his heartfelt laugh, his crazy nicknames for his staff and his endless desire to "Be the Best"!
Thanks for the 29 years.... and yes, we were definitely "Cooking with Gas"!!!

More than just our take no prisoners, but fun sense of humor. I grew up with my mom and grandma and there were a few gentlemen that really had a major impact on my life. Dr. Mack was certianly the man that, through our friendship, gave me so many life lessons, advice and just his wisdom from both the personal and business endeavors. On a daily basis I strive to conduct any business I am involved in as he would. He was that first person that I looked up to and learned from. One of the things I will miss about Bob was his sense of humor. Not only could he dish out ( and boy could he ) but he could laugh at himself. A rare quality. One day at World Gym Bob told us that he won a race.Tom,one of the gym rats asked if he won by a nose and he could not stop laughing. I will miss the fun we had at the dinners over the years. Please accept my deep and sincere condolences for your loss. I have been a very grateful patient of Dr. Mack's for 25 years or so. Even though I live in Coral Gables, I would make the trek to Ft. Lauderdale happily to be treated by him. He was nonpareil in his craft, with superb diagnostic skills, the lightest touch, and admirable perfectionism in everything he did. I always smile when I remember Dr. Mack beginning every appointment by looking at my teeth and saying, with satisfaction, "Boy, I do good work!" He was absolutely right -- and that is the highest compliment to be paid to a consummate professional. I will miss Dr. Mack very much. May he rest in peace. With sadness, Lili Levi"

He and I became good friends and developed a close working relationship that lasted almost half a century. I considered it an honor to work with him and was always amazed at the precision and beauty of his work.
Bob brought out the best in me, and I think I tried harder just because it was for Bob Mack. Bob was also a straight shooter and would let me know if he thought I could do better. I respected him for that.
I was so happy for Bob when he found love with Cindy, because it completed his life in so many ways. I know that she has been his rock and helped him enjoy life so much more. My sincere sympathy to Cindy and her family over the loss of my good friend and colleague.

I knew that working with him I had to be nothing but the best. We shared a lot in common especially our passion for dentistry and patient care. We shared cases, we discussed challenges and we shared stories. I remember when he would call and say "Ana your cases are just breathtaking!!" I would be so proud because I knew his standards. When I was very sick he was there by my side with phone calls and words of encouragement; like a proud dad. He even made sure to find me the best care in town. Right now my heart is in pieces because you are no longer here. But I know I am a better professional and person because I was blessed to have you for 4 years in my life. I know you will always be by my side. You have no idea the impact you made. I am so proud to say I worked with Dr. Robert Mack and I had the honor to learn so much from him.
