"Oct 2022. I first met Maxine while stationed at Ft. Lewis with her sister Kathy. We had the occasion to stand up for the wedding of two other soldiers from Ft. Lewis. Kathy and George Stempniak. It has been many years since I spoke with anyone from Ft. Lewis. I last saw Maxine in 1972 at O'Hare Airport in Chicago. She and her daughter Wendi were on their way to Germany to join her husband in Germany. I came across the photo from the wedding and thought I would try to send it to Maxine. I learned that she had passed away. I wish to send my condolences to the family, and I have sent along the photo for the family. Respectfully Peter A Magnine Chicago Ill. "
