Linda Fitzgerald
January 13, 1953 - November 13, 2015

Linda Fitzgerald, 62, of Clare, passed away Friday November 13, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Funeral services will be held 9:45 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Chapel of Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthews Church, Clare, with Rev. William Schreiber officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at Saint James Cemetery, Clare. A visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday with Catholic Daughters of America Rosary at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Surviving Linda are her husband, Thomas; sons, Jason (Sara) of Fort Dodge and their children, Jayde, Jericka, Jonah and Dylan; Nathan (Lindsay) of Spencer and their children, Morgan and Lawson; and Kyle (Jill) of Cedar Rapids and their children, Keaton and Rylee; sister, Joann Cloud and her husband Don of Fort Dodge; and brother, Greg Horan and his wife Laura of Sioux City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eleanor (Lanus) Horan; and sister, Mary Horan.
Linda L. Horan was born on January 13, 1953 in Emmetsburg, IA. She was raised and educated in Pocahontas until moving to Fort Dodge with her family in 1969. Linda graduated from Saint Edmond High School in 1971 and then attended nursing school at ICCC; graduating in 1974. On December 26, 1972, she was united in marriage to Thomas Fitzgerald and the couple established their home in Clare. Linda worked as a Certified Gastroenterology nurse at Trinity Regional Medical Center for the past 45 years. She served as a Eucharistic Minister as a member of Holy Trinity Parish at Saint Matthews Church in Clare. She also volunteered countless hours at Saint Edmond Schools and was active in the Music Boosters at the school.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Saint Edmond Music Department or to the discretion of the family.
