James Patrick McMahon
August 24, 1929 - December 19, 2015

Sun Prairie- James "Jim" P. McMahon, age 86, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 19th, 2015 in Fort Myers, Florida. Jim was born to E.P. and Amanda (Setz) McMahon on August 24, 1929 in Beaver Dam, WI. Jim was a lifelong resident of Sun Prairie, WI and previously the president of E.P. McMahon and Sons Inc. On April 30th, 1949, Jim married Audrey Derr and together they raised two sons, Michael and Allen. Jim and Audrey were married for 53 years before Audrey's passing in 2003. In 2004, Jim married Anne North.
Jim was both a farmer and a cement contractor. He raised fantail pigeons and showed them nationally. He enjoyed summers at his Lake Delton cottage and winters in Florida and was a fixture at his favorite local supper clubs.
Jim is survived by his wife; Anne, his two sons; Michael and Allen McMahon; his brother John (Nancy) McMahon all of Sun Prairie, four granddaughters; Tiffany (Steve), Kelly (Brad), Kate, and Jackie, and two great-granddaughters; Daniela and Savannah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Audrey.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at CRESS FUNERAL HOME, 1310 Emerald Terrace Sun Prairie, Wisconsin 53590 on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at 11:30 am with Monsignor Duane Moellenberndt officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Jim, to Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie, WI 53590.
