"Georgia, I will never forget the time we spent caring for Tony in the AIC, all the good times, and the bad. It was a real pleasure to get to know the two of you, and know that both you and Tony will be greatly missed !"
"Tony was ten years old when I joined the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Spirit at Techny. I really did not get to know him well as an adult.I remember many years ago that my brother Tony and his wife Ann went to see them and I went along. I think that Ann's sister lived in the area. My sympathy is with Georgia and the family. I am so glad that when I was in Winona in July My nephew Ed Buttenhoff and Nora his wife took my sister Mary and me to visit him. That same day he was put on hospice care. And I am happy that we had prayer together that day. But Tony had been in my prayers and the Sisters prayers ever since he was diagnosed with leukemia Now may he rest inGod'sove and presence."
"Georgia, I haven't seen you for some time but wanted to express my sympathy in the loss of your husband. Take care."
"I wanted to share a memory of grandpa at his wake but didn't stand up in time so i am going to share it now. I spent many times down at the farm and appreciate every time . I remember one time when grandpa was still working and my sister and i were staying at the farm for awhile. Grandma Georgia, Becky and I decided to play a trick on Grandpa. So after he left for work we went out to the driveway and gathered up some rocks. We giggled and laughed as we ran up the stairs to put them under grandpas mattress cover. That night my sister Becky and I could not wait to go to bed.{which is unusual for two little girls} We crawled up into to the "Green" bedroom and after grandma and grandpa tucked us in, we both sat there just waiting and trying not to giggle to loud. All of a sudden we heard 'Okay, WHO PUT ROCKS IN MY BED??!!' Then he came stomping into the bedroom with the greatest smile on his face and we all laughed and giggled. The next morning we got up to eat breakfast with grandpa before he left for the day and he pre-warned us that he hoped nobody played any pranks on us that day. As we helped grandma clean up and got ready to go outside we had found out what the prank was. Both my sister's and my shoes were filled with rocks. I love my Grandpa very much and learned so much from him. I miss him like crazy and think about him often. I will always cherish every memory I have, and every lesson I learned from him. He was the Greatest man i ever knew!!!! "
"I remember your brother Chris and Mike when I stayed at your house years ago and I am so sorry for Georgia and family and your families loss. "Georgia We were classmates many years ago (and neighbors too, I think) It seems we were in kindergarten together so you must have lived in Winona at that time. So sorry to hear about you losing your husband. I did not know him but it sounds like he was a good person. You have my sympathy. Lois Ives Kramer"
"I had the good fortune to meet Tony a few years ago while ice fishing on Bartlets lake in Goodview. We struck up a conversation and found that we had a lot in common. We both were within a month of being the same age and shared a love for fishing and life in general. Our paths crossed many times while fishing and I was on the ice at the Minnesota City Boat Club harbor when Tony nailed a monster 18 pound Northern Pike. He was one happy, excited man. He said this fish was going to be on his wall-and I hope it is. In the short time I knew Tony I gained an enormous amount of respect for him and looked forward to our chance meetings on the ice. He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed by all. To the family and all concerned, I share your grief."
"We are so sad at the loss of our wonderful neighbor Tony. I remember when Brittany and I moved to Looney Valley and Tony made the comment how nice it was to see a child walking down our road to catch the bus. Kevin will miss swapping hunting stories. Our hearts go out to you Georgia and we hope you know we are here for anything you'd need. God bless your family."
"I worked with tony at whv he was a great guy and will be greatly missed by all i remember the times riding in the truck with him and he would just start singing out of the blue. my thoughts and prayers are with the Jilk family"
"Dan losing one's father is not an easy milestone in life. And at a young age. All I can say is remember the good thoughts of him. And someday you will be together again and that will be a glorious day. I have had to endure this milestone and its not easy but, keep a smile on your face for I know your father would like that. I wish your whole family best wishes and my sympathy Dan Ebenhoh"
"I am so sorry to hear about Tony. Mom called me yesterday to tell me. It's never easy to lose someone you love so much. You and your families are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Remember all the good memories you have with him. Georgia, if you ever need a shoulder, give my mom a call. She would be a great listener and wonderful support."

"I have got to be the luckiest person alive, I have had the honor to have had Tony as a father in law for the past 30 Yrs. I learned what it meant to have a real family I never had that before. Tony wasn't just my father in law he was my best friend and my buddy. We had allot of good times together and it is ripping me apart knowing that he has passed, but the memories and knowing that he is in heaven comforts me. I will never forget Tony and Georgia because they have given me so many memories and taught me so much about the true meaning of what it is to be a family."
"Well, I have only known Tony for 3 years or so....... I have to honestly say, I have never met a more real man in my whole life! So proud of his family, so proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was always the happiest person to see everyone that came down the hill. I Have quite a phew memories of Tony, But I Have to say, my best one is, 4th of july, when I played (folsom prison) And we sang together. That was priceless, and I wouldn't trade it for anything n the world! Thank you Tony. My friend you will be missed."
