Charlotte G. Forhan, 72, died Saturday, March 28, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Charlotte was born August 24, 1936, in Winona, MN, to Otis and Ruth (Lampman) Pomeroy. She married Allan F. Forhan in Winona on October 22, 1962. Charlotte had lived in Kewaskum, WI, where she worked for Winco and had also lived in Hayward, CA. While living in Winona Charlotte and her husband had owned and operated Rizzo's Pizza in Rollingstone and also managed the Machine Shed in the Winona Mall. Charlotte was an avid fisherwoman, enjoyed wood working making toys and picture frames, crocheting and gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Allan; six children, Chuck (Wendi Mueller) Williams of Minneiska, MN, Delores "De De" (Richard) Schweitzer of Pine Island, MN, Rodney (Tina Googins) Williams of Winona, MN, Allan (Deanna) Forhan Jr. of Winona, MN, Millard (Dawn) Forhan of Houston, MN, and Archie Forhan of Lewiston, MN; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 4 brothers, Lawrence "Buddy" (Dorothy) Pomeroy of Winona, MN, Clarence (Bonnie) Pomeroy of Minnesota City, MN, Otis (Penny) Pomeroy of Milwaukee, WI; and Duane (Sheila) Pomeroy of Winona, MN; sister, Jenny (Allen "Butch") Rothering of Minnesota City, MN; brother-in-law, Leroy Burt of Minnesota City, MN; and many nieces and nephews in the Milwaukee and Winona areas. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Charles, grandsons, Michael and Tyler, brother, Archie, sister, Rosella and sister-in-law, Yvonne Marshall.
A celebration of Charlotte's life will be held on Saturday, April 4th, at 4:00pm at Living Light Church in Winona, MN. A reception will immediately follow the service at the Polish Heritage Lodge on Prairie Island in Winona. Interment will take place at a later date in Woodlawn Cemetery in Winona.
