Lovina Louise Nuszloch, 87, of Lewiston, MN died Friday, January 30, 2009 of cancer at her home.
Lovina was born April 30, 1921 in Winona County to Arthur S. and Fannie L. (Fort) Voelker. She married Francis R. Nuszloch on September 6, 1939. He died August 17, 1993.
She is survived by two sons, Dale (LuAnn) Nuszloch of Reno, NV and Dean (Dorothy) Nuszloch of Utica, MN; daughter Audrey Nuszloch of Lewiston, MN; three granddaughters, Vicki (Dale) Gathje and Chris (Keith) Miller both of St. Charles, MN, and Sue Saro-Kieffer of Rochester, MN; two grandsons, Chris (Deborah) Nuszloch of Phoenix, AZ and Adam (Alicia) Nuszloch of Reno, NV; five step grandsons, Dennis (Bonnie) Brand, Jr., Darin Brand, Doug (Cathy) Brand, David (Andrea) Brand and Daniel Brand; two great granddaughters, Erica and Katie Gathje of St. Charles; three great grandsons, Aaron Miller of St. Charles and Philip and Tyler Saro; and 12 step great grandchildren, Damian, Brooklyn, Mitchell, Austin, Tristin, Michaela, Dustin, Jered, Zachary, Lucas, Matthew, and Monica.
Lovina is preceded in death by her parents, husband Francis, daughter Bonnie Kieffer-Keller, died July 5, 1978, five brothers, William "Bill", George (infant), Calvin, Alfred "Johnnie", and Arthur E. "Ebbie"; and two sisters, Sylvia Strange and Nettie Haedtke-Siok.
Lovina died at home after a courageous 2 ½ year battle with cancer. The family would like to thank Gundersen Lutheran Hospital for the wonderful care they provided, especially Dr. Benjamin Jarman. Also Winona Area Hospice Services for all the care and help they provided, especially Nancy Dornfeld, so that Lovina could remain at home.
In honoring Lovina's wishes, there will be a graveside service held this summer at Lewiston Public Cemetery. She requested no visitation or memorial service.
