Jane J. Christensen, 45, of Winona, MN, died Friday, February 1, 2008 at Community Memorial Hospital in Winona, MN.
Jane was born on November 29, 1962 in Brainerd. She graduated from Woodbury High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in West St. Paul, while taking nursing classes. Jane moved to Clearwater, Florida and lived there for many years before moving to Winona. She worked for Hiawatha Nursing Home Care and for the Resource Center in Winona. Jane's special interests include her dogs, decorating, calligraphy, painting, drawing, reading and taking care of people. She will be most remembered for her love of her children. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her mother, Patricia (Gary) Volkman of Utica, MN; father, James Christensen of Vadnais Heights, MN; 4 children, Nicole Cain of Las Vegas, NV; Brian (Marie Csee) Cain of Rochester, MN; Anthony (Allison Schroetke) Brown of Winona, MN; and Brittany Brown of Winona, MN; 3 grandchildren, Abigail Sondrol-Cain, Alliana Brown, and Skye Lee Cain; two sisters, Kari Beeler of Woodbury, MN and Michele (Daniel) Piispanen of Aitkin, MN; two step-sisters, Heidi (John) Taylor of Red Wing, MN and Lisa (John) Tuerk of Owatonna, MN; several aunts and uncles; several nieces and nephews; and special friend of 20 years, James Brown of Winona, MN. Jane was preceded in death by her grandparents and step-sister Katie Volkman.
The Funeral Service for Jane will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Hoff Funeral & Cremation Services ? Hansen Goodview Chapel in Goodview with Funeral Celebrant John Wagenaar officiating. Burial will be held in Pequot Lakes, MN. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Wednesday at the Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the Funeral Home.
