"To the Mote Family: Our deepest heartfelt sympathy in the loss of Homer. We wish we could have been at the funeral. I always enjoyed Homer's testimonies in the meetings at Terry and Marleen's. I remember a testimony from Darren regarding "the pillars" in his life. (I believe he mentioned Homer.)I have enjoyed times when grandkids, children, children's spouses, or others spoke on his faithfulness. May God give you comfort and peace at this time. The video was lovely and touching."

At the time, the workers were making meeting seats in our basement. Over the years we enjoyed visiting with Homer a few times at Malcom convention. He enjoyed recalling long ago times. We are sorry to hear of his passing. Our sympathy is with the family."

"Dear Family....Oh, the memories come flooding back when Ardith and I were in the field....early 90's. Laverne and Arlene were starting to come back to meetings, and we had those gospel meetings all winter in Homer and Ardis' home....they were always ready and anxious for all to come. I'll never forget the way your Dad would say, "girls" to us....he and Ardis were certainly special, and I'm thankful for their godly influence on my life. May your memories warm your hearts as you look at the empty spot in the house and around the table, etc. Losing a father is painful. We thank God for him.....LOve in Christ, Anita Forsberg"
