"Margie and I remember the very first time we came to Altura in April, 1982, after I had accepted the Call to be pastor at Jehovah - Altura and Trinity - Norton. Esther and Lenhard invited us to come to their house for noon dinner. Esther served us a delicious ham dinner. I remember Esther's delicious cookies/bars and hot tea that she served for mid-afternoon lunch everytime I stopped to visit her and/or Lenhard. I remember Esther saying at Trinity Ladies Aid meetings when we would discuss to what place we should give our Christmas offering. She always suggested some mission field so that people would have the opportunity to hear the Gospel message so that they might have the opportunity to be brought to faith and be saved. Esther was a very dedicated, faithful and sincere Christian in whom the Holy Spirit had truly done His work and led her to faithfully attend worship services, hear the Word of God, and live a Christian life. May our gracious God bless her family and keep all of you in the true faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior now and always. The time will come when you will be reunited with your dear mother and grandmother in heaven to enjoy an eternal family reunion. Pastor Vomhof"
