"Ervin was a good neighbor. During the flood he opened up his house to all of us who were evacuated at 5:00 A.M.and offered us hot coffee and a place to stay dry. He volunteered to come over and mow our lawns while we were busy trying to put our houses back in shape. We didn't get to know him very long but what we did know proves to us that we missed a great opportunity to get to know a wonderful person better. He will be missed greatly. His family is in our thoughts and prayers."
"Ruth and family: This has been a very difficult year for all. Ervin is at rest now and with Scott in Heaven. They are both looking down on you in during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Kim and family"
