David M. Kronebusch, 53, died Sunday, July 1, 2007, at his home in Goodview following a courageous battle with cancer and is now with the Lord. Dave was born August 23, 1953, in Winona, MN to Gerald and Theresa (Schink) Kronebusch. He married Joann Grunz on July 18, 1994 in Winona, MN. Dave was an excellent handyman and could fix anything. He worked maintenance and electrical for 22 years Badger Construction and recently had been working in tool repair for Fastenal. Along with his enjoyment for fixing things, Dave loved to ride motorcycle.
Survivors include his wife, Joann; son, Michael (Anna) Kronebusch of Rochester, MN; step children, Chris Grunz and Chad Rudnik both of Winona, MN; mother, Theresa Kronebusch of Altura, MN; brothers, Joe (Kay) of Winona, Andy (Cindy) of Winona, LeRoy (SueLynn) of Altura, Dale of Winona and Ed (Kathy Banner) of Winona; sisters, Ruth (Bill) Rother of Plainview, MN, Mary (Randy) Nilsestuen of Arcadia, WI and Sue Ann Kronebusch of LaCrescent, MN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald and nephew, Zach Kronebusch.
Friends may call on Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Chapel in Goodview from 4-7:00pm where there will be a celebration of Dave's life at 7:00pm with a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. "Dave was a great guy.It was always fun to go shooting with him because he would always have something different with him to shoot. Dave will be missed by me exspecialy when I have a wiring question. I should maybe not wire anymore in fear of burning my house down. He would always get a kick out of it when he sparked the wires together and I would jump or just run away from him. "It won't hurt you " he'd say with a big smile "it's only 110". I never believed him."
