"No matter our geographical distance, Aunt Anita was always there for me - she was a very, very important part of my life. I'll never forget the summer I spent in Minnesota as a child, when she and Uncle Donny had me for a 3-month visit...very brave and giving when they already had FIVE of their own! And I didn't even pull my weight doing chores (spoiled suburban kid), just had fun riding the horses and loving farm life. With the huge extended family Anita had right there in MN, she always kept in touch with me and found time for me. I love you, Anita...and am so sorry for the loss of all my cousins' mother and grandmother. Your niece, Alison"

"I have many fond memories of spending time working with Anita in a nurse/patient relationship. I remember the first time I cared for her as a patient and I was terrified being a new grad working on a medical surgical floor and well aware of the fact Anita was a nurse and she would "know if I made a mistake!" After introducing myself to her, she must have been well aware of my nervousness and said to me, "you know we are all new nurses at some point in our lives and you have to deal with patients like me so you can feel comfortable and confident in your abilities!" I will never forget it Anita! And I had already shared with you how much I respect and love your daughter Kari!!"
