"Memories of Sam go way back to the building of I-90 when I first met Sam. He was someone you could always talk to and he would always have the time to share with you. We shared a drink or two in early days and had a lot of laughs. Snowmobiling with him was always a joy. He loved his family and worried about them always. My thoughts are with you and you will miss him like many others. God Bless."

"It saddens me to hear of Sam's passing. I was hoping to make the trip for the funeral, but circumstances don't allow it. I hope the family can understand this. I already miss Sam. I especially enjoyed his family's comapany at Christmas and birthday gatherings at my brothers home. Although they are only in-laws, I think of Sams family as part of my family and as very good friends. God Bless you all."
