David and Sandra (Burfeind) Murray wrote on Jun 17, 2013:

"Our deepest sympathy to you. We will always remember the July 4th picnics and the great food that your mom would bring. In later years, we met her several times at the Mn State Fair and had good visits with her. When your dad died, I saved his obituary card, and years later when David's dad died at age 101, everyone in the family agreed that "My Farm to Me is Not Just Land" was the perfect choice for him, also. Three years ago, friends of ours had our funeral director go back in his files to find that poem from the Murray funeral so that they could use it for her dad. Thank you much for sharing and reminding us that "through seed and swelling pod, I've learned to walk and talk with God."Sandra and David Murray"

Gloria Stock Mickelson wrote on Jun 15, 2013:

"We had so many good times at John and Shirley's house. She always had the best New Year's Day celebrations. Never forget the homemade ice cream and her GREAT chocolate cookies with frosting. All our family celebrations included Uncle John, Aunt Shirley and cousin Jon. We will miss her but God has wrapped his arms around her and now she joins Uncle John and my Dad. Wonder if they have 500 card parties in heaven????"

Chuck and Judy McCarthy wrote on Jun 15, 2013:

"John and Shirley were great people and left a good legacy in the community for others to follow. I enjoyed serving them and enjoyed just knowing them."

"aunt shirley;I remember all the New Year Days celebrations we have had, and great home made icecream. The Stock girls always loved coming to the farm playing outside, and playing records with cousin John. You will be missed but never forgotten, we love you, and now give you to the angels. You, Uncle John and my dad can have some great times, and watch over us. Thank you so much for all you gave to everyone. Love you"
