Marie Ann Sanborn, of Antigo, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Eastview Medical and Rehabilitation Center. She was 91 years old. She was born on June 9, 1924 in Brockton, Mass. a daughter of the late Charles and Bertha (Laport) Donohoe. She married Francis Sanborn on August 6, 1943. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1983.
Mrs. Sanborn was a riveter in the ship yards during World War II and then later worked at Crystalonics in Cambridge, Mass. doing assembly work for 10 years. She retired in 1973 and moved to Antigo in 1995.
She was a member of St. John Catholic Church in Antigo.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and reading.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita (Dale) Oatman of Antigo and Carolyn (Ralph) Frye of Pensacola, FL; son, Ronald (Frances) Sanborn of Hampton, NH; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Edward; and three sisters, Dorothy, Anastacia and twin sister, Marjorie.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 25 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Somerville, Mass. Burial will take place in the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
