In loving memory of

Richard "Rick" Eugene Berry
April 4, 1966 - February 18, 2016

Richard "Rick" Eugene Berry

Born April 4,1966 to Rachel Summers (Yocom) and Charles Berry, he spent 49 years on this earth and took his leave all too soon on February 18, 2016 of heart related complications. Rick was born, raised and passed peacefully in his sleep, in South Seattle Washington. He is survived by so many loved ones, friends, and neighbors. Special mention to his Step father, James Summers, his 3 children; Edwina, Rick Jr., and Crystal, the longtime love of his life, Joann, siblings; Kib Berry, Barb Berry (Lynch), Bob Berry, Margaret Summers and Bill Burkett. Step-brothers; James and George Summers. Beloved nieces and nephews; Sammie, Becca, Heather, Nathaniel, Timothy, Chloe, Ella, and Hailie. Great nieces and nephew Shelbie, Katlynn, and Junior. Also his most special of buddies, Jose.

Rick served in the United States Army in his earlier years. He played/coached football and baseball throughout his entire life, and was a severe wrestling enthusiast (trust me I know). He played poker and loved good music, mostly of the (what he himself hated to say) "classic rock" variety, constantly and enthusiastically playing air guitar while rockin' out.

Above all this, our brother, our friend, our beloved was a goofball by nature, often playing practical jokes on any unsuspecting loved one, and sharing humor and deep-hearted laughter with anyone around possessing ears.

Our family and many loved ones ask all who would like to pay their respects and celebrate Ricks life, come join us and share your laughter, your tears and your stories about Rick. Have some food and drink (anything you wish to bring and share is welcome) on Sunday, March 20th at 4:30 pm at the South Park Community Center 8319 8th Ave. S. Seattle, Wa.
