MUSCATINE, Iowa - Inez L. Miller, 94, of Muscatine, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2016, at Premier Estates of Muscatine.

Visitation will be from 1 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. There will be no funeral service. Inez was born on March 5, 1921, in Bottineau, North Dakota, the daughter of Archie and Alida Berg Crandall.

She married Harold L. 'Dutch' Miller, on August 26, 1951, in New York, New York.

Inez was a Registered Nurse working in the Chicago and New York area hospitals.

She was of the Lutheran faith. She enjoyed artwork, traveling and being with her family. Inez was a kind, attentive, and caring person that will be missed by her family and all who knew her.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Ann Mayes and husband, Paul, of Muscatine, Eileen Bowie of Oregon, Janet Killian and husband, Art, of Heyworth, Illinois, and Robert Miller and wife, Rose, of Geneva , Illinois; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Earl Crandall and wife, Florence; and one son-in-law, George Bowie.

"Who would have know growing up in Cicero, Illinois would have been the best place in the world to grow up. Inez and my Mother were the best of friends and she was my second mother during childhood, fixing skinned knees and other bumps and bruises.
