Alcott, Dennis Michael, 72, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, formerly of the Chicago area, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016. He was born January 9, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Thomas Charles and Maxine Marie (Nelson) Alcott. He moved to South Florida in 1974 and was of the Catholic Faith. A member of the National Association of Laundry Manufacturers (NALM), Harley Owners Group and won D-Stock National Racing in 1964.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patty Carolyn (Goheen) Alcott; sons, Patrick Dennis (Kaity) Ferrero of Hapeville, GA and Bud Andrew (Danielle Horne) Alcott of Port St. Lucie; daughter, Kelly Ann (Matt) Cantone of Cabot, AR; grandchildren, Kelly Renee Teems and Matthew Dennis Cantone. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas C. and Gerald P. Alcott.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm with a Service to follow at 4:00 pm at Fred Hunter Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Hwy, Ft. Lauderdale 33316.
