"I also grew up with Kathy and am terribly shocked by her illness and what seemed to me to be a sudden death. Kathy was a people person and brought happiness and laughter where ever she went. She missed Robbie so, and cherished Ryan with all her heart. She was a wonderful grandmother whose grandchildren were her life. Thank you Ryan and family for being with her, supporting her and fulfilling her wishes. I will be eternally greatful to Kathy for unknowing leading me to Indiana University Health where I had a successful transplant (thanks to her message) just a few months before she became ill. God bless her "

We shared a love for the theater and music and all of our high school friends. She was a tireless supporter of the Class of '64' reunions, bringing many people together who hadn't been in contact for years. May God bless her soul!"

"I didn't grow up in Muscatine, so my first memory of Kathy was when I first came to town and auditioned for the musical "Cinderella." She played the part of the step mother and I was Cinderella. We had so much fun in that show, and laughed so hard!! That was the first of many shows we were in together. Such fond memories! She will be deeply missed, but it's comforting to know, that as a follower of Jesus, she is now in her greatest role yet, in the Kingdom of Heaven! "

"Kathy was a close neighbor to me for many years and Ryan was our adopted grandson. They both spent a lot of time with us while Ryan was growing up. Kathy made the very best chicken and noodles of anyone. She always shared them with me. We became lifelong friends and Christian soul-sisters in the years that we knew one another. I will miss that hearty laugh and kind disposition. Rest well dear friend. "
