"Hansen Family Members and Classmates: We were all saddened to learn of Tasha's sudden and tragic death. No one can prepare you for a loss when it comes like a swift wind. But take comfort in knowing that she is now resting in the arms of our Lord. The saying goes that when we lose a loved one here on earth, we gain an angel in heaven that will watch over us. May you take comfort in knowing that you now have an angel who will lovingly watching over you. May the Good Lord bless and comfort you, your families and classmates during this time of grief. We have all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Chuck Ehler - Superintendent and Rushford- Peterson Teachers and Staff Members "

"I did not know Tasha or her family; however, I fully understand the pain being felt because of this senseless act of violence as I, too, lost my daughter Kristen to domestic violence just over a year ago. I know there are no words to comfort you now. I know your pain is unrelenting and unbearable. I know you miss Tasha with everything you are. I know things will never be the same. I know the love you have for Tasha will not fade nor will she ever be forgotten. In time, when you're ready, the healing will begin. I know for me this healing is going to take my lifetime and I will forever be scarred. I can only imagine that you will be, too. My deepest most heartfelt sympathy for all those mourning the loss of this beautiful, young lady. My heart breaks for all of you and I will be thinking of you often during this difficult time. "

Angela Beeman wrote on May 19, 2016:

"I have known Tasha since Junior Year in high school, we weren't close friends but we would see each other around town after we graduated together. Everyone who had known Tasha; whether a day, a year, or their whole lives have been deeply touched and truly blessed to have had her as a part of their lives. She was so proud of her two kids and always smiled when I told her they look exactly like her. Tasha had a spunky, fun, and kind personality. The entire community is at loss of words over what had happened. You will be in my thoughts, forever. "
