Dorothy I Grandow
September 10, 1930 - June 22, 2016

Dorothy I Grandow, formerly of Deerbrook, died Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Homme Home of Wittenberg. She was 85 years old. She was born on September 10, 1930 in Oconto Falls, a daughter of Emil and Loretta (Bergman) Spiegel. She married Roger Grandow on August 22, 1953 in Oconto Falls. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2012.

Dorothy was employed at Allen Bradley Corporation in Milwaukee for 25 years. In 1974 she moved to Tigerton where she and Roger raised veal calves until retirement in 1994. After retirement they moved to Rhinelander then to Deerbrook in 2005.

She was a Members of Ascension Lutheran Church in Antigo.

Survivors include a nephew, Richard (Marianne) Spiegel of Milwaukee; a neice, Jeanne (Robert) Zilske of Milwaukee; three cousins, Jack Spiegel of Oregon, Martha Cordes of Burlington, Donna Druckrey of Suring; four sisters-in-law Elaine (Gordon) Link and Dorothy Sullivan, Betty (Richard) Marklelewski, Theresa (Ervin) Koser; a brother-in-law Norman Grandow.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Earl Spiegel.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the chapel at Homme Home of Wittenberg with Rev. Michael Spaude, from Ascension Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Visitation will be Monday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Bradley Funeral Home and Tuesday at the chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will take place in Tigerton Union Cemetery.
