Joe Loyd Farr passed away in Kent, WA on June 29, 2016 at the age of 83. Joe was born February 14, 1933 to Anna Frances (Robinson) and Charles Preston Farr in Gravois Mills, Missouri. He married his late wife, Ruth Maxine Kelso on July 30, 1957 at the Bridal Cave in Camdenton, Missouri. Shortly after their wedding they moved to Kansas City, Missouri where they raised two son's Craig and Clifton. Joe worked for KC Booth for 40 years as an upholsterer and carpenter. Joe loved his KC Royals and Chiefs, and enjoyed watching their games whenever possible. He worked briefly as a door greeter for Wal-Mart in Liberty, Missouri where he loved talking to people. Joe moved with his son's family to the Pacific Northwest in August 2007 where he enjoyed retirement spending time with his Grandchildren. Joe loved sharing a cup of coffee and sharing stories of his younger days spent with his cousins and various family members. Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, of 39 years on December 7, 1996. His parents Charlie and Anna, and two brothers, Charles Junior and Thomas. He leaves behind son Craig A. Farr of Kansas City, Missouri. Son, Clifton D. (Carrie) Farr of Kent, Washington. Seven grandchildren whom he adored. Heather Knox of Kansas City, Missouri. Cailtyn Wilkinson of Wichita, Kansas. Preston Farr of Auburn, Washington. BayLee, Clifton Jr, Liam and Reagan Farr all of Kent, Washington. As well as four great grandchildren, Aurora, Zaine, Layla, and Noah. He is also survived by his brother's and sister's John and Kathy Farr of Lincoln, Missouri. Wray Farr, and Shirley Farr Root both of Gravois Mills, and Hazel and Larry Huffman of Versailles, along with multiple nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial gathering and reception is scheduled for Noon on July 16, 2016 at Shoal Creek Community Church in Pleasant Valley, MO. Family and friends are welcome to attend and celebrate Joe's life. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family are suggested.
