"Who could ever forget all the Bickford family Christmases on the farm?! And Doris took it all in stride and never seemed to be stressed out with the preparation, food, or any aspect! She had so many changes in her life and really adjusted to all! She is a role model for us, and we will miss her steady presence."

"God made a wonderful mother; A mother who never grows old; He made her smile of the sunshine; He molded her heart of pure gold; He made her as neary an Angel as anyone could be; God made a wonderful Mother; And he gave that Mother to me. Taking parts of a poem by Pat O'Reilly, my Aunt Kathryn wrote this poem using calligraphy and added a beautiful embellished border. I look at it often. Doris was that wonderful Mother as well as Aunt, Sister, and Friend. The poem will be given to Emily Kathryn when she is ready for it. "
