"Rudolph ( Rudy) Etwaroo, CHS grad 1966 "Weary, weak and worn, a true son of Port Mourant , Guyana was called to his heavenly home to eternal rest. No more sorrow, sickness or pain" I heard the sad news today , and that burial will be on Sunday. No other info was given. All of us from the Highlights of Port Mourant express heartfelt sympathies to his wife Leila (Jagan) his surving siblings and other bereaved relatives. May his soul rest in everlasting peace. Rudy was the son of the late David Chatergoon and Doris Etwaroo, formerly from the famous "crèche" area, next to the landmark tamarind tree of Port Mourant. Siblings: Michael (BHS Grad'59) deceased Leslie (CHS '62) deceased Neville (CHS '64 ) Hillary (CHS '67)) deceased Neil (CHS '70 ) Rudy was a cousin of the Jadoos and the iconic cricketers, the Etwaroo brothers, his uncle was Harold Appadu, teacher at Albion,CM. His wife Leila ( Jagan) is the neice of the late Dr. Cheddi Jagan, the first Prime Minister of Guyana,SA. RamotarSingh A Rawana In memorializing , I would like to share this with you : I was a prefect for Rudy's form in High School,and I can vividly remember the day Rudy & my sister Bonita Rawana went up to the stage in the chs-jccs auditorium in an entertaining event and sang a poem from their poem text book using the tune from oh my darling clementine.
