Lisa Sue Yarolem

Lisa S. Yarolem, 46, of Lost Nation, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday morning, September 7, 2016, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Friends and family may gather for "One Last Party"® in remembrance of Lisa on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, from 5 to 7 P.M. in "The Bistro" at the Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date.

Lisa Sue Bennett was born on May 8, 1970 to Roger and Carol (Starr) Bennett. She was a 1988 graduate of Maquoketa Community High School, and received her CNA. She then went to Capri College in Davenport. She married Randy Yarolem on July 30, 2011 at Eden Valley.

Lisa was a homemaker and had worked various jobs through the years including working as a receptionist at Super 8 in DeWitt, the Baldwin Gas Station and at the Drafthouse in Welton.

Lisa enjoyed mushroom hunting, road tripping, camping, bonfires, collecting elephants and taking pictures of everything. She adored spending time with Randy and the children and was excited about her first grandchild coming in November.

Those left to honor Lisa's memory include her husband Randy Yarolem of Lost Nation, IA; children, Christina Anderson of Davenport, IA, Amanda Anderson of Long Grove, IA and Marcus Anderson of Long Grove, IA; a step-son Matt (Chelbie) Yarolem of Maquoketa, IA; a foster daughter Melissa Wiley of Davenport, IA; her father Roger Bennett of Grinnell, IA; her mother and step-father Carol and Mike Evans of Maquoketa, IA; brothers Brent Bennett of Davenport, IA, and Brian Bennett of Maquoketa, IA; a sister Angela Evans of Maquoketa, IA; a step-brother Larry Knowles of IA; a step-sister Bonnie Shelton of IA; and foster siblings, Amy Wenndt of Lisbon, IA, and Tim Evans of Maquoketa, IA. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, her step-mom Julie Bennett, and a son Travis George Anderson.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a Lisa S. Yarolem memorial fund has been established.
