In loving memory of

Milton LeRoy Haworth Jr.
May 17, 1943 - September 23, 2016

Raised in Seattle, Milt graduated from Seattle Pacific College (University) with a BA in Elementary Education. For over 30 years, he taught in the Highline School District. While Milt loved teaching, he especially loved his 5th and 6th grade students. Camp Waskowitz, a week of outdoor education, was the highlight of his school year. He enjoyed introducing students to the trails, trees, and occasional wildlife. On these teaching walks, he would point out deer scat while eating chocolate covered raisins slyly pulled from his pockets.

Milt's love for his Lord was evident in his connections with people. He was gifted at hospitality, making others at ease, and could strike up a lengthy engaging conversation with someone just met. Milt gave unselfishly in his service to others. Milt is survived by Patricia, his wife of 52 years; his daughter Christina; sons Tony, Rob, Mark; 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Many lives have been enriched from being touched by his. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to Camp Waskowitz in memory of Milt Haworth through the Highline Schools Foundation. 15675 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien, WA 9816 Tax ID 91-2020506 Website: www.highlineschoolsfoundation.org
