Dorothy Anne Bollinger, born in Seattle, April 16, 1927 to Edith and Samuel (Henry) Sheets. Dorothy passed away surrounded by family on August 19, 2015, after a year-long illness. She was born six minutes ahead of Elizabeth (Betty) her identical twin sister and lifelong closest friend. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Laverne H. Bollinger, and son Donald Belcher. She had a teaching degree from Laverne College and taught school during her first marriage to the late Roy L. Belcher, until they started their family. Dorothy was an accomplished artist and vocalist. She served as church secretary and administrative assistant for Olympic View Community Church (Church of the Brethren) for many years. Dorothy's heart was devoted to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many, many others. She was generous and compassionate to more others than we will ever know. Dorothy leaves and has passed her torch onto her children Jeanne E. Gregory (and husband Kent) of Seattle, WA, Dianna L. Rivers of Durango, CO and Mark E. Belcher of Mukilteo, WA, her sister Betty DeBon (and her husband George DeBon) and also nephew and niece, as loved as her own, Gregory DeBon and Lynn Gracy (and her husband Paul). She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Ryan Rivers, Carmel Gregory (and husband Ian Gill), Shea Rivers, Claire Gardipee, Melody Brundage (and husband Scott), Fawn Gregory, Crystal Durairaj (and husband Prayer), Samuel Gregory, Kellen Rivers (and wife Jacinta) and Maxwell Gregory. She also dearly loved all her great grandchildren, Adelyn Rivers, Lincoln Rivers, Deyasis Durairaj, Vega Durairaj, Brooklyn Brundage and Mason Brundage. She was also committed to the support of the orphanage and widows ministry run by Crystal and Prayer Durairaj in Tamil Nadu, India. Dorothy has quietly made a tremendous impact on the world and will be greatly missed but also greatly appreciated for her kindness and unconditional love.
