Constance Marie Dierks Whitney
February 28, 1946 - October 4, 2014

Constance Marie Dierks Whitney, 68, died at Northwest Hospital in Seattle, WA on Oct. 4, 2014. Constance was born in Washington, DC on February 28, 1946, and grew up in Hot Springs, AR. Later she moved to Buffalo, NY where her daughters, Belle Murphy and Elizabeth Hoskins, were born. During that time she earned a B.A. in Anthropology at SUNY Buffalo.

She and her family moved to the Seattle, WA area in 1986. During her time there she extensively traveled and admired the natural beauty of the West and Northwest, continued to be active with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and spent time with her family and beloved grandsons. She enjoyed learning new things by reading, exploring, then sharing what she discovered with those she loved.

In addition to her daughters she is survived by her son-in-law, Jordan Murphy; her grandsons, Domanic Franson, Isaac Hoskins, Joshua Hoskins, and Sawyer Murphy; her sisters Suzanne Hooper and Kathryn Greene.

Her family and friends will miss her spirit, humor and thoughtfulness.
