On January 8, 1943, in El Monte California, a beautiful person, Colleen Esther Malcolm, was born to Marguerite Esther Berge. Colleen Esther Malcolm died July 29, 2008 after a lengthy illness thought to be Multiple Sclerosis. Ms. Malcolm earned a B.A. in Languages, with a minor in Journalism at the University of Santa Barbara. Colleen also attended the University of Bordeaux, Bordeaux, France where she received a scholarship for academic excellence to further her studies in U.S.S.R. She would go on to study in the Masters Program in Public Health, San Jose State University, and the Masters Program in Linguistics, U.C.S.B. Ms. Malcolm lived in Manhattan, New York, where she became the personal assistant to Barbara Walters, ABC news anchor, and assistant to the Heinz family. She migrated to Seattle, Washington in 1982, where she worked as a commodities trader and later became one of the top grossing legal industry placement specialists for Employco Inc. She volunteered for the American Red Cross and the Northgate Food Bank. She married Roy A. Woofter and had a brother in New York, both deceased. She leaves her memory to a host of friends who will truly miss her. Many thanks to the many friends who have shown their love and support during this difficult time. "I had seen Colleen many times at Shays Restaurant. I had the priveledge to meet her as well. Then I seen her at Spiros & she was quite pleased to see that I didn't just eat at Shays. It was a comical time. I will miss seeing her & chatting with her. May God have reached down & helped you home.
