Gary was born on April 7, 1958 to Gerald "Pete" and Emily Weisenfeld in Merrill, Wisconsin. He passed away on October 31, 2010 at his Everett, Washington residence. Gary's first hobbies consisted of building model train sets and anything to do with WWII planes. It was a bond shared between Gary and his father. As Gary got older, he enjoyed working on 1960's era Volkswagen Bugs so much that he made a career out of his automotive mechanic skills. After his son, Mike, was born in 1991, Gary started his second career path and passion with computers. He often could be found tinkering in the garage with his prized cars or fiddling with a new electronic gadget.
Gary is preceded in death by his son, David Lee in 1990 and his mother, Emily Nelson, in 1998. Gary is survived by his wife of 21 years, Diane Weisenfeld; father, Pete Weisenfeld; children, Michael and Christie Weisenfeld; sisters Brenda (Gregg) Knapp and Mariam (Steve) Hollinshead; step-mother, Patty Tolman; step-brother, Ryan Weisenfeld; many loving extended family and friends.
Gary will be deeply missed by all the people who have been touched by his insightful wisdom and whimsical sense of humor.

"Gary and I were roommates for a few months right after high school. I remember that Gary had a great sense of humor and could always make me laugh. It doesn't surprise me that he became a mechanic. He was a talented machinist at that time and had a real interest in cars. I remember him pulling up one day in an old VW microbus that he bought for a few hundred dollars. I opened the passenger door to get inside and it came off its rusted hinges and fell to the ground. Gary just laughed, hopped out of the bus, put it back into place and opened the back door to let me in. I lost touch of Gary after I moved out of that house on Elliot avenue but I always wondered what became of him. It was nice to hear that Gary had a warm a loving family and was a friend to so many people. I'm sure he be missed."

"My dear son, I already miss you more than I can say, and I will for the rest of my life. Thank you for being a son that I could not be more proud of. Saying goodbye would be imposible if I didn't know tnat there was a God in heaven who said He will bring you back to all of us who love you someday. I will live the rest of my life keeping that in mind, and looking for the day when He opens your eyes again. I promise to be there when that happens. Until that day, your hurts are over.... so rest in peace my son. I love you....Dad."
