Nancy Ann Cheever Sayre, age 63, passed away at her home on Nov. 18, 2016. A gathering of friends and family will be 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Saturday November 26, 2016, at Grandon Funeral and Cremation Care 414 Lincoln Way in Ames, with a remembrance service to follow.
Nancy was born December 8, 1952 in Mason City, the daughter of Ray and Dorothy Cheever. She graduated from Ames High School in 1971. She then attended college. She married Dick Sayre on January 22, 1972 in Boone, Iowa the couple moved back to Ames, in 2006.
Nancy is survived by her husband Dick Sayre, her children, Simon (Stacey) Sayre, Jake (Tristi) Sayre, Emma Sayre, and Molly Sayre; brother, Ray Cheever and a sister, Judy Shuey and 5 grandchildren.
Dick would like thank Nancy's lifelong friends, Carrie Carlson and Debra Young and her niece Sue Brekke, for their help in assisting in keeping her spirits high during her jouney.
