"My sincere condolences to the family of Aida Abraham Hider. I loved her fierce loyalty to family. It was unwavering. On almost every occasion when I was with Jojo, Aida would call just to check on her, to see how she was, she was a wonderful caring older sister. She liked keeping in touch with her sisters and her family. Having lost my own mother in recent years, I know how much you will miss Aida, she was completely loyal to her sisters and her family. Your devotion to Aida and each other will get you through the hard days and months ahead. May she rest in eternal peace. She will never be forgotten."

"I will always miss you auntie. I always enjoyed visiting you and eating half your jar of candies. I was so happy that Christine, my mom and I got to see you. But the smile on your face when you saw my dad made it all even more special. I wish you we had done the same as aunt Mireille, and taken a picture of the two of you. Aunt Mireille will always have that picture of the two of you and both your smiles will live forever."

"Our memory of Aida was in our father's house in North Miami. She lived there for more than 20 years. Aida was always vivacious and giving to all. We miss her being there for us, reliable, loving. We three sisters will miss our morning coffee with her chatting away. She is with her loved ones and they are all together now. We loved her when she was with us and We will miss her terribly always. Huguette Jojo and Patsy "

"Some of my fondest childhood memories involve waiting for dinner to be over so my sisters and I could run (sneak) downstairs and gorge ourselves with kit Kat bars or Twix bars while gulping down a coke at Aunty Aida's apartment. On really special occasions, we were honored with her particularly delicious "black beans and rice", which no one could argue (especially with her...ask Jocelyn; she tried and failed) were the best. As kids, we would wait for Friday's off because we knew that meant a trip to the sky lake mall and all you can eat pizza. Aside from being one of the most genours people I knew, Aida maintained a strength both physical and mental that we can only admire and hope to embody in our old age. She proved especially in her last years to be incredibly strong willed, wavering her principles and beliefs for nothing and no one. These are qualities reflected by her immense strength and independence, which for a woman of her age having grown up in the 20th century is absolutely remarkable. Aida gave whatever she had to whomever needed it and never said no to those she loved and cared about. On December 12th, our family lost a true gem. She will always be remembered with happiness, humor, and love. "
