Sandra Savage, 73 of Seatac, WA passed away Saturday, December 17th due to complications from dementia, which she bravely battled for many years.
Sandra was born December 7, 1943 in Seattle, to her most beloved mother Neva and father Malcom .. who were both waiting for her with open arms.
Sandy retired from Boeing after 30 years of service and earning herself the nickname "Sandy Claus" due to her wonderful giving nature. She always had a smile on her face and usually a gift in her hands for everyone as Christmas was her most favorite holiday. She would have a Christmas tree up for months as she loved the lights and joyous emotion is brought.
An AVID doll and teddy bear collector for most of her adult life that gave her great joy. It was this collection that she loved to share with everyone .. as she would frequently raid her own collection to gift a doll or bear to a child or adult she would meet.
Sandy had a larger than life smile and the most generous spirit that was contagious and will be sorely missed. She touched the hearts of every person she met. But her greatest joy was her family:
Sandy is survived by:
- Daughter Tracy
- Sister and best friend Karin
- Brother Patrick and sister in law Sandy
- Brother Michael and sister in law Lori
- Nieces Cassie, Crista, Rhanda and Rachel
- Great grandnephews Andrew, Gage, Rylan and Isaac
- And many friends and extended family
Sandy is predeceased by:
- Mother Neva
- Father Malcom
- Son Sean
No service will be held .. she preferred to be remembered with a celebration of life and wanted people to smile and be joyful.
