"Carol & Brett, I grew up on the farm just south of you. I remember your Mother as always having a smile and a friendly hello! I graduated with your brother Ron. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Jeanne Hauswirth Taylor"

"Carol and Brett - We send our sympathies on the passing of your mother. We have long ago memories of your family and remember visiting together at Sanford and Alma's home on many occasions. Brett, you were just a tiny boy and you liked sitting on Bob's lap. Alma was always mixing up all her "V" friends and relatives - Vera, Vesta, Velva, Vicki - especially when two or three of us were there at the same time. We always admired Vera for her faith; she leaned on God for courage for many sorrows she bore - and endured until age 92 herself! Wishing you and the rest of your family peace and comfort as you adjust to life without her. "

"My deepest sympathy to her family. One of the special memories I remember about Vera was approximately 35 years ago. I was helping with vacation bible school in the Corwith church. It was the night of the program that the kids put on for the parents. There was a young man that would not come up front because he was scared. I asked him if he would come up if his Mommy would come with him. They did. For some reason after the service Vera came up and handed me some money and complimented on my quick thinking and thanked me for helping. She obviously was a gracious and loving person. My grandma, Margaret Thompson, will enjoy meeting her friend in heaven."

"Our deepest sympathy too your family. I have so many fond memories of you while I was growing up. Many hours walking beans & celebrating birthdays. My kids always looked forward to receiving a card from you with a piece of gum tucked inside & the hand drawn fish in the return address. "
