In loving memory of

Don Jenne
May 3, 1934 - January 15, 2017

Don Jenne died on Sunday, January 15th, 2017. Born on May 3rd, 1934 in Seattle, Washington, Don attended Columbia High School in Richland, Washington. He served in the United States Army where he was stationed throughout Europe. Upon returning home, he fell in love with his neighbor, Bonnie Harris, who became his wife of fifty-nine years. He attended the University of Washington and worked in various industries before his love of music led him to co-found DJ's Sound City. With stores in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii, DJ's became a fixture in the North West music scene during the 1970s and 80s. His personal interests were diverse and, in many cases, life-long passions. Don was an avid runner, rarely missing his daily five miles. He loved reading, food, and wine. While he enjoyed all sports, the Seattle Mariners were his favorite team; he never missed a game. Don is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie Jenne, two children -Barbara Santee and Dean Jenne, siblings Lila Brackenbush, Lorita Bayless, Neil Jenne, and two grandchildren - Rachel Griffin and Miranda Santee. He will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 28th at his daughter's home.

Tributes

Lila Brackenbush wrote on Jan 24, 2017:

"It was wonderful having a big brother to look up to when I was a little girl. Even though we were 11 years apart in age, Don was always interested in and cared about us younger kids. I always admired his strong work ethic and his commitment to being healthy. He was a great brother and I will miss him! Bonnie, thank you for all the care and devotion you have shown my brother Don over the past 59 years. You are unbelievably strong. Please take care of yourself. Bonnie, Barb, Dean, Rachel and Miranda, I love you all. Lila "
