"Shirley I extend my deepest sympathy to you. "
Debra was born on October 10, 1969, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, to William Carl and Janet (Sage) Madsen. Debra graduated from high school and went on to achieve certifications as an EMT, CNA and Medical Aid.
Debra was married to Jeff Hovey on September 30, 1995, and together they have three children. Over the years, Debra worked for Auxi Health, janitorial work, daycare, the grocery store in Titonka and for Exceptional Opportunities. Whatever Debra was doing, she found enjoyment in. Some of her favorite things to do while not working were crocheting, cooking and camping.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jeff Hovey of Titonka; children, Brandon (Amanda) Hovey of Hanlontown, IA, Alex (Bri) Hovey of Titonka and Cady Hovey of Titonka; grandchildren, Maddox, Kaden and Ethan Hovey; brothers, Robert Lee Madsen of Merritt Island, FL, William John (Pam) Madsen; sisters, Carolyn Ann (Robert) Brandt of Titonka, IA, Barbara Kay (James) Thilges of Bode, IA, Jeannette Lucile (Daryl) Chapin of Titonka, IA, Shirlee Renee Alt of Algona, IA, Sharon Kim (Brad) Bengtson of Titonka, IA, Mary Jo (Rodney Norland) of Ionia, IA, and Karla Louise (John Schutter) of Titonka, IA; as well as many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
