Alice Robinson
May 10, 1927 - March 20, 2017

Alice A Robinson, a longtime Antigo resident, died Monday, March 20, 2017 at Pine Crest Nursing Home in Merrill. She was 89 years old. She was born on May 10, 1927 in Gleason, a daughter of Wallie and Lillian (Radtke) Remington. She married Gene Robinson on November 8, 1943 at Salinas, Kansas. He preceded her in death on October 2, 1999.

Alice was raised in the town of Vilas and was a graduate of Antigo High School.

She and her husband farmed in Deerbrook before moving to Kenosha in 1958.

Besides being the best Mom in the world she held many jobs including a nurses aide, secretary at Abbott Labs in North Chicago and one of her favorites was being a bus driver. She retired in 1974 and moved to Antigo.

Alice loved gardening especially in the spring.

Survivors include two daughters, Gwenn (Jack) Kirk, Morristown, Tenessee, Debbie (Ed) Danoski, Kaukauna; two sons, Wallie Robinson and Sue, Golden, Colorado, Ed Robinson and Chan, Milwaukee; eleven grandchildren James Kirk, Gina Rhodes, Scott Kirk, Kim Radoll, Brock Robinson, Jackie Perez, Zack Robinson, Derrick Danoski, Sarah Pieper, Hannah Robinson, Gene Robinson; several great-grandchildren; two brothers and their spouses who were more like sisters, Glenn (Carol) Remington, Gleason, Shorty (Sharon) Remington, Gleason; special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Jack Robinson; two sisters, Emily Wagner and Ethel Remington.

A funeral service will be held on Monday March 27, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home with Rev. Debbie Pimm officiating. Burial will take place in Forestview Cemetery town of Vilas.

Visitation will be Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.

Special thanks to Pinecrest Nursing home for taking such good care of mom. Linda, Jill and Jake and a very special thanks to Julie, a niece, Mom loved you like a daughter. Thanks Cuz for all you did for mom! Thanks also to moms granddaughter Sarah for holding moms hand when she was leaving this world...you are wonderful.

Mom, for a long time you have been both Mom and Dad to us. You have been there for each of us. You taught us that family is everything. You made sure we knew we were loved. We will forever miss you, but you will always be in our hearts. Thank you Mom for loving us and being not only our mom, but a best friend. Love you always and forever, Your children.
