"My deepest sympathy to you, Linda!"
"Linda, Martin, and Evan, My heart is breaking for you. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are thinking of you and sending you our deepest condolences. Ken and Judy Hughey"
"Linda and Martin, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I will say a prayer for you and your family. Although I did not know Amanda, just from reading what others have mentioned, if she supported any animal help group, then she had to have been a very special and generous daughter. I feel so bad for you both during this time. Heaven has another angel. With deepest sympathy, Al Ingwersen "
" I started going to 4 and 20 on a regular basis 2 years ago when there was a crises at nearby East High School and I and my group were bringing our therapy dogs to help the kids and staff work through their grief and loss. As an evaluator for a national pet therapy group, I began having prospective teams meet at or near the cafe after that. Many, many of my teams have now been to the cafe and love the special spirit it has, as well as the delicious food. More recently, our elder therapy dog Lexi had a major health issue, and was near death. We knew she adored going to the cafe, so we brought her for a special visit. The love and good food made by staff helped turn Lexi around that day, and she is still with us now, still working as a therapy dog with older adults and people with disabilities. My husband Wesley and I love the cafe and its staff and special way of being in the community so very much, and we know Mandy was the guiding spirit and drive that made it a truly unique Madison place. Mandy's kindness and creativity will remain with us and the many people and animals she touched."
"My heartfelt sympathies to Evan and Mandy's family. I have been a neighbor for many years since they moved in and started the cafe. We shared our hearts, hugs, and garden produce. She truly connected with me and many many others. She will be truly missed. Hugs to you all. Anita Temple and Math Heinzel."
"We knew Mandy from family walks around the neighbourhood and our frequent visits to 4&20 and she was always so friendly and nice to us, especially our dog, Lamb, and our daughter Ruby ??. She will be sorely missed in our community."
"Mandy always had a smile and hugs for me and my family. She described my hugs for her as "Mama hugs" which was so heartwarming. My son, Andrew learned a great deal from Mandy, Evan and Scott as their "first" employee and was treated like family and for that I am very grateful. Our community will truly miss Mandy and her many talents. Love and Peace to Mandy's family, Evan, Scott and the 4&20 staff. Love, Therese, Andrew, Lily, Aaron Schroeder, Joe and Emily Johnson."
"I only knew Amanda for the past year or so, but I am grateful for that time. I send my love and memories to her family and friends, and wish her safe passage on her future journeys."
"The dearest of friends. My heart goes out to Evan and the Puntneys. "
