Karen Casperson
May 20, 1942 - April 7, 2017

Karen L. Casperson, age 74, of Mountain was born to eternal life April 7, 2017 at her home. Karen was born May 20, 1942 to Raymond and Ruth Klein. Karen attended West Allis Central High School Class of 1960 where she was involved in the Choir and Band having sang A Capella and played Coronet and Accordion.
She met the love of her life; Donald, her senior year and they married September 10, 1960. Karen was an exceptional homemaker for many years while in Oconomowoc, WI and served many administrative and accounting roles over the years including her retirement from Howard Young Medical Center in 2006.
Karen leaves behind her beloved husband, Donald of Mountain, WI; 4 children, Donald Jr (Anita) of Douglas, WY, Tammy (Edward) Kindsfater of Townsend, WI, Ronald (Lynette) of Salmon, ID and Ginger (Joseph) Rappley of Ave Maria, FL; 13 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; and more on the way; 5 sisters, Janice Kafer, Susan Peavy, Holly (Robert) Staedter, Kathy (Gerald) Wellens and Linda (Terry) Felkner; a brother, Ronald (Kathy) Klein; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Sellnow.
Karen had many hobbies over the years and excelled at everything she did. She took great pride in building up her family, sharing her love for them through her skillful canning, embroidery, photography, crocheting, sewing and especially her gorgeous homemade quilts. Karen shared her love of the outdoors with her family and friends through gardening, bird hunting and softball, but most importantly her passion for fishing, with many hours of quality time spent on the water teaching her children and grandchildren.
Karen's laughter and free spirit were contagious and she willingly spread her joy amongst family, friends, coworkers, and teammates.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond & Ruth Klein; 3 brothers, Raymond Jr, James (Audrey), Thomas (Muriel); 2 sisters, Nancy and Edith; 3 brothers-in-law, Philip Peavy, Bud Sellnow and Kenneth Kafer; 2 grandchildren, Tyler and Hannah; other relatives and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held Thursday, April 13, 2017 at the Wolf River Town Hall, N4393 Blue Goose Drive, White Lake, WI from 3:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Steve Fewell leading a prayer service at 6:30 p.m.
