Kartik Ram wrote on Apr 19, 2017:

"Tony was a lifelong friend literally until his last hours. I met him on Good Friday last week, spent a couple of precious hours wheeling him outside, sitting in the sun and catching up like ol' times. We hadn't had such a fulfilling talk in ages. He was mentally sharp but physically frail. His voice strained but will stronger than ever. He was making plans to walk out in a few months, get his own place and continue his Montana building project. I met Tony in 2000 and it pretty much feels like yesterday. We traveled the world together- he's stayed at my family home in Delhi, apartment in Dubai and hotels around the world. It was such a joy sharing spaces with Tony. I enjoy my mid-day calls to him several times a week and catching up on life and business. Tony was an eternal optimist and lover of life and nature. He was the kindest, sweetest man I have ever known other than my father. Though not a "hugger", you could feel Tony's virtual hug every time you met him. A strong man yet a gentle spirit. Tony...have fun with Lily and know that you'll be deeply missed by Avanti and I, my mom (who knows you well), my sister and so many others. We were so lucky to have you in our lives. More lucky than ever. Your place is absolute and cannot be filled by anyone else. Just come back and fill it anytime."

"I am Viju, Kartik's sisyer. My family and I have had the joy of being acquainted with Tony for over 15 years or so. He has visited us at our home, and shared some home meals with us.Tony came across as a gracious, warm and generous friend. My enduring memory is if him hanging out with my children , my husband Nitesh and I at a mall in Delhi, on two occasions. Both times, he struck up a great rapport with my younger daughter who was probably 5 at the time and babysat her at the mall while the rest of us were shopping. Tony and Aiyana, my daughter, were found later sneaking into candy stores and pigging out giant lollipops, and jelly beans, with a sheepish expression!! He had such a fun and great way with kids. I remember he played my guitar and sang a riff from a song just to cheer us up.I know he is very special to the almighty. I pray that he meets up with Apps, my Dad who passed away in 2011 and they beam their good will on us down here."
